The new house, located in a residential neighborhood in Madrid, seeks to adapt to the terrain, marked by a steep incline, generating a system of half floors, which will form an essential part of the development of the project.
Going deeper into this concept and maintaining the alignment of the street as the main orientation, a hard shell is formed, that also works as the structural element of the project, and that surrounds the building on its east and west facades and forms the roof. In contrast, the north and south facades are projected as soft and translucent elements, creating a clear hierarchy in the house, which will allow the spaces to be arranged in a structured way and will facilitate the entry of light during all hours of the day and months of the year.
